Robert Prettie & Co Ltd, a subsidiary of MITIE Group PLC, was founded in 1960 by Mr R R Prettie, who retired in 2000 following a Management Buy Out.
The work undertaken by the Company in its lifespan of almost 5 decades is one of diversity and has covered almost the whole range of plumbing and heating, together with a substantial amount of specialist mechanical services, ventilation and gas servicing.
The Company has followed a policy of expansion since its inception and in 2008 was acquired by the strategic outsourcing and asset management company MITIE Group PLC. Robert Prettie is now one of the largest Plumbing and Heating Companies in the Midlands and is among the top twenty nation-wide.
Robert Prettie has 2 regional offices, 280 operatives, 30 apprentices and 60 clerical and technical staff.
Electrical services are also provided by partnering relationships.
